i hide all my frustration
and mask my inner thoughts
control my errant eyebrow
be glad for what i've got...

cuz i coulda hadda sidekick
who's oh so very dumb
carries jes one bullet
in his pocket - not his gun...

i coulda hadda sidekick
who falls down wells and mines
his family's down right clueless
although i bark and whine...

i coulda hadda sidekick
who's named after a bird
and can't complete a sentence
without that "Holy..." word...

i coulda hadda sidekick
impossible to 'splain
he measures in at 3 foot 2
keeps shoutin' bout "Da Plane"....

but i didn't get a sidekick
like all the others got
in fact mine's five times better
at least that's what i thought....

cuz that powder puffin thang
has made me stop and think
perhaps my sidekick's looney
and needs to see a shrink...

or she skimmed her sidekick manual
if she thinks i'm gonna trust
in a pacifistic sidekick
whose weapon's blowin' dust....
